Procedures
Welcome everyone to class. Ask about their day.
Review how many lines and spaces are on the staff.

Ask for a volunteer to say them out loud

Do not tell the students the name of the song
We are going to play a fun game! Boomwhackers!
Pass out boomwhackers to volunteers
Point out the color coordination between the boomwhackers and the notes on the board
Point at individual notes in the song so students have to pay attention. Have them play their boomwhacker when you point to their note specifically.
Have the students play through Old McDonald on their boomwhackers
Did anyone recognize this familiar tune?
Switch up who is holding the boomwhackers and play the song again
